Nathan’s Famous Celebrates Its 100th Year Anniversary

Our Top 5 must see attractions during the summer time. Oh yeah and don’t forget to chow down on one of those Nathan’s Famous hot dogs before you begin any of the recommended attractions, its a 100 year old establishment. Then once you are done, walk over to Luna Park at night and do some of their rides.

Mermaid Parade
Location: The Parade starts at West 21st Street and Surf Avenue

A celebration of ancient mythology and honky-tonk rituals of the seaside, it showcases over 3,000 creative individuals from all over the five boroughs and beyond, opening the summer with incredible art, entrepreneurial spirit and community pride. The parade highlights Coney Island Pageantry based on a century of many Coney parades, celebrates the artistic vision of the masses, and ensures that the summer season is a success by bringing hundreds of thousands of people to the amusement area in a single day.

CONEY ISLAND MUSEUM
Location: 1208 Surf Ave.

Check out the Funhouse Mirrors, and a collection of coolers and thermoses from 50’s & 60’s, rare hundred year old hold to light postcards and much more.

Admission is $5 for Adults, $3 for Seniors, Kids (under 12) and residents of zip code 11224.

CONEY ISLAND CIRCUS SIDESHOW
Location: 1208 Surf Ave.

The last traditional 10-in 1 continuous sideshow performing in a circus or amusement context includes a cast of live professional performers, many at the top of their field.

Tickets are $10 for Adults and $5 for children under 12 years old.

Burlesque At The Beach

Check out OLD SKOOL BURLESQUE & VAUDEVILLE, 10PM FRIDAYS & 10PM SATURDAY NIGHTS ALL 2016 SUMMER LONG! At Sideshows by the Seashore!!

The show is a blend of old style burlesque, sideshow freaks, strange women, new vaudeville and toe tappin’ music.

All shows $15. Must be 18 to enter, 21 to drink. Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Coney Island Brewery
Location: 1904 Surf Ave.

The brewery offers free tours and growlers to go. Tour Times are from 2PM-4PM and 6PM daily. Check out their beer tap menu and summer hours for more info.
