If you’re in New York City on the 4th of July, you’re in for a treat! The annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks show is back, lighting up the night sky with a dazzling display that draws millions of spectators. This year, the fireworks will be launched from barges on the Hudson River, making it a prime spot for viewing.
What to Expect
Time: The fireworks kick off at 9:25 PM and last about 25-30 minutes. So, grab your friends and get ready for a night of fun!

Elysian Park
Make sure to arrive early if you want a good spot—some folks start claiming their territory as early as 11 AM!
The Show
This year’s display promises to be spectacular, featuring about 60,000 shells in a variety of colors and effects. Expect to see unique bursts like a silver cascading effect and a kaleidoscope centerpiece. Plus, there will be live performances leading up to the fireworks, with artists like Luis Fonsi and Lainey Wilson taking the stage.

Transportation: To avoid parking headaches, consider using public transit. The MTA will run extra services before and after the show.
What to Bring: While it’s a free event, be mindful that large bags and chairs aren’t allowed in public viewing areas for security reasons.
