AT&T have announced a five-year initiative to provide free Wi-Fi service at 26 locations in 20 New York City parks across the five boroughs.New Yorkers and tourist will be able to stay connected with their smartphones, tablets and other Wi-Fi enabled devices as they enjoy everything City parks, big and small, have to offer. AT&T Wi-Fi at City parks is free for all users.
Bronx: Joyce Kilmer Park and Devoe Park
Brooklyn: Fort Greene Park, Herbert Von King Park, McCarren Park and Prospect Park.
Coverage will also be expanded in Brooklyn Bridge Park (Piers 1 and 6)
Manhattan: Battery Park, Thomas Jefferson Park, Central Park (multiple locations), the High Line, Holcombe Rucker Park, Marcus Garvey Park and Tompkins Square Park
Queens: Astoria Park and MacDonald Park
Staten Island: Clove Lake Park and South Beach
Getting Connected
To connect to the internet through one of the free AT&T Wi-Fi access points in parks, simply look for and select the network name “attwifi” in the list of networks in your device’s Wi-Fi settings screen. That’s it – no username or password is required.
