Planning on attending the New Year Eve’s Ball Drop at Times Square in New York?

Well here is our 8 quick tips on how to plan, if it is your first time.

1.) Get there early. 3PM (Recommended), but for prime viewing spots even earlier (noon).

2.) Arrive at the North End and work your way down, since the ball drops on the south side. Arrive near 47th Street by the red stairs.

3.) If taking the subway get off near Bryant Park or Rockefeller Center which is the B, D, F, or M line. For West entrance take the C or E on 50th Street.

4.) Bring your own food or eat a hearty meal before arriving.

5.) Bring water, but watch your intake as there is no public restrooms in the area.

7.) Leave the backpack at home and wear comfortable shoes. You will be standing for 6 to 12 hours.

8.) Have a plan for after midnight. Most revelers forget to do this and end up walking for many blocks trying to get home, and it is expected to be really cold on Sunday low 20’s and even teens.
